Schedule of Events for July 4th Celebration, and Free Parking!
ANCHORAGE, Alaska – June 26, 2015 – Saturday July 4th, Anchorage Fairs & Festivals will be producing the annual July 4th Celebration. As well as the traditional event, this year’s celebration includes a few special entertainments related to the Anchorage Centennial. Due to the generous sponsorship of EasyPark, attendees at the festivities will have free parking at any EasyPark location!
The day begins with a pancake breakfast and parade, continues with the Firefighter Combat Challenge, and concludes with a free outdoor concert by the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra. The detailed schedule is as follows:
8:00 am – Pancake Breakfast: $5 cost, with all proceeds benefitting the Polynesian Association of Alaska
11:00 am – Community and Veterans Parades
ALL DAY – Family fun with two stages of non-stop entertainment!
12:00 pm – Firefighter Combat Challenge, Mayor’s Centennial Cup Relay, and Kid’s Firefighter Combat Challenge
12:30 pm – Special performance by members of the University of Washington Marching Band
1:00 pm – Reading of the Declaration of Independence by The Harvard Club
4:00 pm – Commemorative Centennial Photo (event participants in the shape of 100)
6:00–8:00 pm – Free Concert by the full Anchorage Symphony Orchestra
